Welcome to Cailín in Canada & thanks for stopping by!
My name is Hayley, I’m Irish and have called beautiful British Columbia home for over 4 years. I feel very lucky and appreciative as a settler to be living on the traditional territories of the Coast Salish peoples: the Sḵwxwú7mesh (Squamish), səlil̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-waututh), and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam). I’ve been fortunate to explore many of the gems on offer throughout the territories commonly known as Vancouver, while also adventuring to other places in British Columbia.
I had the idea to start my blog, Cailín in Canada, while researching my most recent trip. Although there are loads of blog posts on the internet about getaways from Vancouver, mine will be a little different because I don’t drive. And while I admit not having a car does pose some issues and restrictions, it hasn’t held me back. And it shouldn’t hold you back either. So please enjoy my blog where I share my travel adventures, and don’t hesitate to reach out via the contact form.
[Cailín is the Irish word for girl]
